I am off for 10 days of holiday on Sicily. I am super excited because we are going to see three volcanoes (one erupting! Stromboli), explore some beautiful cities and eat stacks and stacks of delicious food and wine. I am in need of holiday really badly… my work has kind of ground to halt and I am lacking in motivation. Anyways, I won’t be able to answer your comments but I have set a chapter to post half way through the trip so hopefully that will work out okay. And keep checking in because when I get back I will back to trying to post a chapter every three days.

Well here it is finally. The new Mhalwae! Many thanks to the boy (I love you 
for pretty much doing everything (I took the pictures!).
Anyways, I think it is pretty much self-explanatory (at least I hope it is). But if you have any questions just ask. Or if you notice anything that is strange or doesn’t work. I think it will be a lot easier to use than the old one with its broken links and other general cruddiness.
I need some of those streamer, trumpet thingys and some confetti. Or a bottle of champagne.
Thanks to all of you for hanging in there with the ups and downs. I am determined to make more ups than downtime and have set myself a goal of at least two posts a week when I am in Stockholm. So here’s hoping. Also, there will be a new post up really soon. It is written and all, I just have to do some editing.

Sorry for the delay in putting up a chapter guys. I have two written but I feel like the creepy mood is totally spoiled by the powder blue theme so I want to wait till the new theme is up before I post. The boy is back from Egypt today (in a few hours wheee!) so hopefully he will be keen on finishing the new theme sometime soon *hopes*.
In the meantime, for your entertainment (and mine) I decided to randomly roll some character pairings and see what the kiddies would look like. Here are the results:

Hi guys!
First of all, sorry the site is such a mess right now. I got infiltrated by some sort of bot which replaced my old theme with links to spam (stupid me for having an all lower case, dictionary word password). So the site was rather borked and is still in a bit of a blue theme limbo now and I don’t know how to fix it myself and the boy will be in Egypt for two weeks so no help there. So basically, sorry and please put up with the blueness of it all for a few more weeks. Hopefully then the new theme we have been working on will be put up.
In other news, I will be in Poland, in Krakow for 5 days on holiday so no chapters for a bit longer. Hopefully after all the chaos I will still have some readers .

Sorry I didn’t manage to post anything while I was away. I always underestimate how hectic it is going to be when I go home to Australia. And I have been back a for a few weeks now so you might be wondering where is the new chapter. But the problem is, I have writer’s block really badly on this next chapter. I keep trying to write it and it is just coming out horribly (like awful, bodice-ripping trash). There is something I really want to do that I think will enhance the story but I just have no idea how to write it. Any advice on writing this sort of thing tastefully? It is coming out so badly at the moment and that wasn’t really what I wanted at all (or want to subject you guys to!). I know what I have written is awful… I suspected so myself and then I ran it past the boy and he was like umm…
So, hopefully I will make it past this hurdle and get on with the story. Sorry to keep you waiting guys but please be patient, I am sure I will manage to write this damn chapter some time soon!

Sorry I have once again been absent from the sim world these last weeks (I feel like I am saying this waaaay too much). Things have been busy trying to get a whole lot of work finished before I head home to Australia for a visit tomorrow. I am really excited because I have been feeling so homesick lately. Not just missing my family and friends now but the country. I want to be somewhere that’s hot and humid where there are big thunderstorms and dry deserts. I want to sit outside in evening when it’s still warm with a beer in my hand. It is so weird. I even miss those nights when it is too hot to sleep and you lie wound up in your sheets in a sweaty tangle. I think I need to go home for a while

I’m heading to Paris for a week of holiday with the boy so I won’t be posting or commenting for the next week. I’m pretty excited since the boy hasn’t been before and I am keen to show him all my favourite places. Also I am looking forward to the pain au chocolat breakfasts.

Hi guys.
Sorry for being completely off the planet for a month. It is has just been a totally crappy month and I am so relieved it is almost over. I have to give my halfway PhD thesis (they call it a licentiate over here in Sweden) to my opponents tomorrow and life has been complete hell trying to get it finished. I literally have not had a day off for the last month 
. Meh. And tomorrow I am off for a conference, but when I get back I am planning to take Friday the 28th of November off from work (this has been the light at the end of my tunnel for a long time).
So obviously my sims needs have been put on the shelf for the duration. I tried to get inspired a couple of times but writing sciencey stuff all day has left me completely drained of creativity. I think the only thing that has kept me going was when I realised I could watch House at the same time as editing figures and doing data analysis. They always do the same stuff anyway… lumbar puncture, CT scan… sitting in House’s office discussing stuff… so it was kind of good in the background.
But I think things are going to be a lot less stressful after today. I have to give a presentation and defend my work the week before Christmas, so I have to try and get smart before then but it definitely won’t be as stressful as this last month.
So, in short, I will be back, please don’t forget about Mhalwae in the interim.
