He was surprised about it in the confession chapter, but he did believe Garald. He doesn’t really see Nyawe as a victim, since he also doesn’t really believe that one can rape one’s wife. But still, that brief moment of sympathy, that was Morven’s doing. Alexis tends to apply things back to Morven, he would never force her or hurt her so he did feel sorry for a moment for Nyawe. He may be a dreadful husband but he cares about his wife in his own stupid way.

He has definitely forgotten his promise to stay faithful when Morven was dying.

Alexis is so funny but a little depressing. I mean, he’s actually a nice guy but he still cheats on his wife every occasion he gets.

I forgot Alexis knew about that so-called rape. EWW! For some reason, back in the confession chapter, I had the impression he didn’t take it seriously. But… I suppose he didn’t, since he instantly went into seduction mode, not seeing Nyawe as a victim at all. >8( Wifely duty and all that, I suppose.

Oh well, at least I suppose this little marital understanding will at last be cleared up. More proof that people just need to talk to each other!
