Eallair seems to have given up, like Van said. He seems really depressed. Just overwhelmed. I like how there are actually THREE chairs up there… the King, the Queen, and the Real King. At least the common people probably don’t have enough contact with him (outside of very formal speech-making situations anyway) for them to realize that he’s kind of a loser… and the other nobles seem willing to cover for him. Imagine if there was someone among them who wanted to overthrow him or something?

I think if anything Eallair’s getting worse not better. Not good when you have to practice your kingly lines in front of your wife who wrote them for you. Not good at all.

Thanks Ermine, I am so enjoying taking pictures that aren’t just in a wooden room on the ship (and all the wooden rooms look the same). It is fun with the castle getting built. I am looking forward to spring so they can start adding more rooms.

I feel so bad for Eallair. He seems to have almost given up on being king–at least he’s got Lochan and Madlenka watching his back. For the sake of the next generation, hopefully Kendrick takes after his mother in that regard.

But yeah, I seriously just wanting to keep refreshing the main page here until I see the next chapter… something tells me Valeriya knows something rather unexpected
