This was great, Verity! Well worth the wait. I loved the pictures, especially. Poor Harndall, but it was his choice to do it. I'm sure he'll suffer quite a bit, but at least he resolved something he felt he failed at. That's some small comfort, at best.

So bloody! I loved it.

It was more a volunteering sort of thing. Because Harndall feels like what happened to Mella is his fault it seemed right to him that he give her some peace in the end. I don't think he was expecting it to be so distressing and horrible though. I think in the end, someone else would have been less traumatised than him so it might have been a better idea for Kelgar or even Lochan to do it.

Yeah, Harndall really isn't cut out for this sort of thing. Plus he has a bit of a history with Mella, and he's already rather preoccupied with the whole Valeriya thing, so... poor guy :(

Poor Harndall. *hugs* The other guys are soldiers, but when Harndall decided to be a priest he certainly didn't sign up for stabbing and stuff.

I don't remember if this was mentioned in the earlier chapters, but why did poor Harndall have to do it? Did he volunteer? Or did they decide it ought to be a priest?

Oh, and why do I doubt the inhabitant of the other coffin will be so easily dispatched? :-)
