Thanks for the lovely welcome back guys .

It is so nice to be writing again. I have to admit I was a little concerned that it would be difficult coming back to it. But while I wasn’t entirely happy with the writing in this post I didn’t struggle with it more than usual so I am quite relieved it hasn’t gone away.

I am the most conventional of all you guys! I wrote it after all. I am glad that these two are getting to know each other a bit better. Sigurd is finding a spine and Varda is softening (but it is a little sad that she couldn’t respect him unless he does manly things like punch people in the face). Varda also tends to be a little bit nicer and huggier when she is pregnant. Also I think she is pretty bored, lying in bed by herself (though she was quite ill for a while). Of course people are visiting and she is keeping busy still but Varda is SO not the sort of person who would deal well with enforced bedrest. So she is probably quite glad for a bit of company as well.

YAY! Welcome back, Verity! Hooray for Mhalwae!
So glad to see these two together and happy…like Lothere, I am conventionally happy to see Varda softening and Sigurd getting some more spine. But hey, they were unhappy with it the way it was before. This dynamic seems like it will be a happier one. So glad Sigurd punched him, I hope Radomir’s nose is knobbier than ever. (Not that I’m a Radomir hater per se, but obviously he deserved it.)
In sum, yay! I had temporarily forgotten over the last couple of days that you were updating again, so it was a delightful surprise to come over here and see a new update.

Hell ya he hit him, bastard! I am SO happy that he told her, and she is going to be so stoked from now on. All she wanted was to feel protected by him and now hopefully she does. What a great post Verity, its so good to have you back!

Wow, these two are quite something. It’s so nice to see them so tender and loving. I can’t believe he punched Radomir, way to go, Sigurd! You’ve found your spine, man. That’s awesome.

I hope the baby is all right, poor thing. And I hope Radomir gets some help or a tiny room or something. Punching pregnant women, or just a woman in general!

First, can I just say I am SO glad you’re back to writing, Verity! I missed these guys so much (well, and you too but you’ve been peeking in now and then ) and I was a leeetle bit afraid you might not be able to get back into it after being so long away. So, *confetti!!!*

And now, can I just say Awwwwww! I never really disliked Sigurd, he was just such a pansy. And except for the fact that she was the face that my poor Radomir punched (I know, like it’s her fault he’s bad), I never really disliked Varda, it was just that she was somewhat errrrm disagreeable at times, and sometimes so scornful to Sigurd that even a stronger man would have buckled…. So I am really glad to see Sigurd firming up a bit and Varda softening up a bit… so conventional of me, I know.

I hope hope hope their baby survives. I have a feeling that if it doesn’t, their relationship is just going to plummet down to what it was. Or that Sigurd is going to murder Radomir in some sneaky way, and that would be bad for everybody, starting with me.

I was a bit worried when she started asking who did broke Radomir’s nose though… the King or the Duke or etc. It is kind of sad and pitiful for her to be like “…for me??” because Varda is the type to want to do the nose-breaking herself, but at the same time, how powerless she must feel as a mere female among all these men. And anyway I was a little worried she would be disappointed when she learned it was “only” her husband. So I am glad she took it the right way. (Conventional of me and Varda, I know.)

Also, I love Devin’s comment from the last post. Let season 2 begin! *more confetti*
