Even though I wrote this I also find the idea of Arran being anything more than a boy somewhat incongrous. I had to really try not to think about his face when I wrote that. I guess I picture him as a slim but athletic guy (not that the sims allows for that... or well all the male sims have a slim athletic build, otherwise they are grossly misshapen :)

I am really glad I kept the name, I think I have gotten a lot from it in the end and probably will get something more in the future. With a name like that someone is just too easy to tease.

I haven't actually decided whether I will give her a scar or not though I think it would be really interesting if she did have one. The problem is that a lot of my scars seem to be meant for paler skin types ie they have a patch of pale skin around them. So I'm not sure... but to be honest I am all for giving my poor sims some nasty scars... wait till you see Kelgar. And of course Cordell still has a scar from his brush with evil dog (that is it's name officially in the sims :D

Mao... sorry... I didn't know my site wasn't working... sorry that it caused you a problem. It really needs a massive overhaul but I really don't know how to do it and don't have the time right now to learn.

Tiana... I don't know if you have check out the characters ages page lately but there you can find some very nice baby pics I put up quite recently. I do need to trot out a baby or two soon though, just for your sake (and mine!)

Meh... I am writing this comment to the lovely accompaniment of a clunking fan. I was so worried at first, I though the hard drive had gone again! But it seems that it is only something terrible happening to the fan. But it has prompted us to finally go out and get a new computer (well soon anyway) with all the bells and whistles. I am so excited... is it strange to be looking forward so much to quicker loading times? I feel like I spend half my life waiting for loading).

Ooooo somebodies likin' somebody else! Hehe, I would like to see Arran end up with her. She is strong and sweet and brave. I'm glad to see into the lives of the other people on the island. And when do we get to see some babies?! I believe there are quite a few out there we have seen. I demand babies!

Sorry I haven't written on the other post, they were so great and so scary! I was impressed by how Noah handled the situation. I wish their king was a bit more steady but perhaps over time. Or I wonder if his lack of firm decision making will cause issues in the future. And poor Lochan, I wonder how he must be feeling, and maybe we will get a chapter from his point of view.

Things are starting to get intense and spooky over here. Pretty soon their going to go search that church, I wonder if they will find Mella and creepy guy. They need some stakes! And some garlic! And quit stabbing them Lochan, you gotta behead them!

I'm in agreement with Lothere on the scar thing. I have a female character (not sims) that has a scar on her cheek. It's not usually done with females, or done well, at least. It would be interesting to see the lasting-effects the encounter had on the poor girl.

Sorry for taking so long to comment. For some reason, your site wasn't working? The layout was gone and the text was all jumbled and crazy. I got worried! But this one works fine, so maybe it was just me or some freak occurrence. Glad to see you're back!

Soooo romantic! I'm melting! I hope you will let them get together, Verity, they've both been through enough horror for one life.

I loved that glimpse of chest we got at the beginning (through Igrayne's eyes). :-) I had a hard time as seeing Arran Barran as anything other than a boy, unless it was a kicked dog. Good to know there is a man under there, and even better that she noticed it. That shirt hanging open was a nice touch, I will have to use that sometime. ;-)

Nelly Barran! Girls can be so cruel. I bet you're glad you didn't change his name by now, though. It is so perfect for him, and with that play on words a little tragic too.

These are the kind of chapters I like. This one was rendered with particular delicacy, leaving so much unspoken. *melting sigh*

Behind-the-scenes-wise, Do you have a plan for Igrayne's face? Are you going to leave scars on it? That would be cool. I haven't found heaps and tons of scars that I really like (sometimes creators don't even seem to consider the path that knife would actually slash across a face), but there are a few. Those big slashing scars are sexy on men (Kormak has one, not quite hidden by his hair *swoon*), but it would be something else to see them on a woman. Chilling, I would bet, especially on a previously pretty girl like Igrayne.
